The TOTE Licensed Operators Awards

The Derwent Park retail outlet and Marquis of Hastings Hotel received The TOTE’s major Licensed Operators Awards for 2009.

The awards recognised outstanding performances by operators and staff in The TOTE’s statewide retail network encompassing retail, hotel and on course outlets.

Other awards were presented to:

• Launceston Central – most improved retail outlet
• Deloraine Hotel - most improved hotel outlet
• Black Buffalo Hotel - superior customer service by a retail outlet
• Carlyle Hotel - superior customer service by a hotel outlet
• Libby Limbrick - superior customer service on course
• Derwent Tavern - BETASPORT initiative by a retail outlet
• Black Stallion Hotel – BETASPORT initiative by a hotel outlet

TOTE Tasmania recognised long-term licensed operator John Peers with the prestigious Recognition of Industry Involvement award.

TOTE Tasmania CEO Craig Coleman said it was important to recognise and reward operators who worked hard to improve the quality of customer service.

“Enthusiastic and effective licensed operators remain the key to a successful TOTE operation,” he said.
